Thousands of Shoes!

So many shoes!

Our recent agreement with Zappos has provided us with thousands and thousands of shoes in our system. You may never have to upload a photo of your shoes again. Just search for what you own and click "add to closet" (the plus sign).

It's just one more way we at Style du Jour, are making it easier to organize, create, share, and explore your wardrobe.

Click here to see the more than 61,000 items we recently added from Zappos. Believe it or not, most of them are shoes!

Customize your closet on www.StyleduJour.com!

We recently added new categories for you to use when organizing your closet. To check out the new additions and add them to your closet, click the 'customize' link in the left column when you are creating a new outfit.

Also, we added a cool feature that allows you to add photo galleries to each individual outfit. For example, let's say you create an outfit you are going to wear to a special event, you can now post a picture of yourself actually wearing the outfit at the event! It is a fun way to see your creations come to life, and for others to see your personal style in action.

Another fun way to use the gallery feature is to show how you pull off a certain 'Look for Less' or Celeb Style. Let's say you create an outfit inspired by a red carpet look; you can post a picture of the celebrity wearing the look in your gallery.

TMZ captured video this week of Britney Spears and her aggressive body guard exiting from Lisa Kline in LA after a shopping spree. Photogs were pushed and shoved to make way for the pop princess as she escaped to her car, coffee in hand. It was an event that was so explosive, that the cops were called. But anyone can see what went on outside the store if they watch the video. What is more interesting is what went on inside the store.

Thank you all users, you have uploaded over 300 unique clothing and accessories. You can find them by browsing, or through your friend's closet or outfits.

We especially want to thank one of our most active users DezzaRay for uploading over 60 individual items. She told us she just snaps a few photos every time she does laundry and spends no more than 10 minutes putting them into Style du Jour. DezzaRay already has discovered new combinations with her digital wardrobe. All this, and she doesn't even own a computer! She goes to her mom's house or the local Internet cafe.

Clothing upload made easier and more!

We recently made it easier for you to upload your closet to ours. Now, if you don't like our auto-crop feature when you upload, you can just go back to your clothing item and edit the image online. A very simple rotate and crop image editor.

There is also a tour you can take. One for new visitors and the other for new users. The link at the top is the same, but you need to login to see the new user tour.

We have added the new feature that allows you to start a trend and have others follow you! It is really simple to do and not only SDJ members will be able to check it out. These trends will be posted on your public profile so everyone can admire your style!

Someone has already posted your trend? No Problem! As a follower of that trend, you can add the outfits you have put together that prove you are a style maven!

We are bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker's new line, Bitten. With every item in the collection under $20, she is making high fashion at low prices. With cute outfits like the 'Puff sleeve ruffle top' in light blue, and the 'Eyelet short' in bleach white (each only $9.98) paired with any of the practical sandals for only $7.98, who can resist?

The line can be found in Steve & Barry stores across the US. To preview the line or find a store near you log onto, http://www.bittensjp.com/ . There you will find SDJ favorites such as the 'Strapless Dress' in classic black ($19.98), 'Sailor Pant Chino' in navy ($14.98), and 'Wedge Heel Peep Toe' in bleach white ($9.98).

SJP is seen above, next to a hanging ad that reads, "A sweater should not cost more than your groceries," wearing her own line, including a 'Striped Crew Neck Tee' ($7.98).

Feature Enhancements

There are a few new enhancements I wanted to let you know about:

You can now browse for items to add to your closet by Retailer or Brand.
Finding similar outfit creations is easier. For example, try going to http://www.styledujour.com/browse/collection/casual and see all of the outfits that are tagged as "casual". Also note in the right-hand corner the related tags that allow you to discover outfit creations in related collections.

Create your own fashion and share it with everyone.

Changing Room

I just wanted to say thanks to all the users of SDJ. You have been a really big help in the development of the site. We are currently working on adding new features, sprucing up old ones, fixing pesky bugs.

Keep on uploading photos of your favorite clothes, and don't forget that you can browse other people's closets to see if they have already uploaded something you own. To do this, simply select the browse tab then select the link of the category you would like to search through. Once you have found the item you wish to add to your closet, click on the "add" icon located directly below the picture.

Hey everyone!
Summer is upon us and that means tank tops, shorts, sandals and much more (or less in most cases.) Here is Seattle, the weather is still a little unpredictable but that doesn't mean that I can't plan for the sunnier times ahead.
